Duty Officer

(40 hours)

Job description

As Duty Officer, you proactively manage Silver Flight’s flight operation. You act as a point of contact for suppliers, handlers and the pilots. You are responsible for creating ATC Flight Plans and monitoring aircraft (Flight Watch) and routes. You prepare all relevant flight information and documentation and switch proactively in case of any disruptions. You ensure that the correct information is shared with all stakeholders for both planned flights and ad hoc flights.

You are also responsible for all crew coordination tasks. You ensure correct processing of crew planning, in accordance with EASA legislation. You monitor and record all current duty times.

During your work as Duty Officer, you work closely with other departments. An important stakeholder is the Sales Manager. Together, you work on ad hoc sales and coordinate closely. You are responsible for processing requests in the system Avinode. As Silver Flight is growing, you will collaborate on various projects and will also do general work.

As a Duty Officer, you are curious, have a listening ear for everything that is going on and are flexible. You are meticulous but able to switch quickly and come up with an appropriate solution. You excel in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same and you are able to think ahead.

Working irregular shifts is part of this job.

Who are you?

  • Completed (Aviation) HBO education.
  • You have at least 1 year of work experience in a similar position.
  • You are aware of the EASA legislation.
  • You have an excellent command of various software programmes.
  • You have an excellent command of the Dutch and English languages, both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience within aviation is a big plus.
